Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup coconut
  • 125 g butter
  • 2 tablespoon golden syrup
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 1 tablespoon boiling water
Instructions
  1. Combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut.
  2. Combine butter and syrup. Stir over gentle heat until melted.
  3. Mix soda with boiling water, add to melted butter mixture. Stir into dry ingredients.
  4. Place tablespoonfuls of mixture on lightly greased trays, allowing room for spreading. Cook in slow oven (150oC) for 20 minutes. Loosen while warm, then cool on trays.
