Caramel Biscuits

Ingredients
- 125 g butter or margarine
- 60 g sugar
- 1 cup self raising flour
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- Topping
- 4 tablespoons icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar. Add sifted dry ingredients. Press onto a greased tray. Prick with a fork. Bake in a moderate oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Place all topping ingredients into a saucepan and stir over a low heat until butter is melted and well mixed. Pour over biscuit while both are still warm. Cut into squares when cold.
