Plum Pudding 1

Ingredients
- 250 g dripping
- 250 g brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 250 g plain flour
- 250 g breadcrumbs
- 250 g raisins
- 250 g currants
- 250 g sultanas
- 2 tablespoons treacle
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 dessertspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon essence
- 1 teaspoon almond essence
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- few dates
- pinch salt
- 2 packets mixed nuts
- 2 dessertspoons brandy
Instructions
- Beat dripping and sugar and add eggs one at a time. Add treacle. Add all sifted dry ingredients. In a separate bowl put all fruit, nuts, breadcrumbs and brandy. Then add the other mixture to this bowl and beat until smooth. Boil 5 hours or 4 hours for ½ mixture.
